Awesomeness

I bet you don't have something as awesome as this in your closet. Romance of the Three Kingdoms ties

Kingdom of Am..whaaaaa?

Today I was excited to see a package from Amazon. I was like YES my Kingdom of Amalur guide is here. I opened it up and saw it was the Lord of the Rings extended edition blu ray. I hate to say this but I was disappointed it left an emptiness inside

this pond was empty

while driving home from work today a motorcycle cop decided to follow me. I guess he thought because I was doing 47 in a 45 that was very reckless. Oh and sorry I didn't slam on my breaks to try to stop at the yellow when it just turned yellow when I reached the intersection. What I found amusing is how he hung back really far. Waiting....watching.. almost begging me to speed, to go that few extra miles per hour so he could give me a ticket. I guess he thought I didn't notice him make that right turn to follow me when I passed him. What I also found amusing is why he thought I would speed when I have a light coming up in about 2-3 miles and I'm going to hit traffic that will stop me.

I noticed he caught up to me before I hit the light. Keep in mind he was so far back that in order to catch up to me he would have had to go at least 50-60mph. He got really close and that's when he must have ran my plates. Seeing that I didn't have any issues he turned around to go after someone else when I hit the red.

I guess it's because there are idiots who feel they must go 65 even if it's only for a couple blocks that gave him a reason to think I was going to do the same.

Lillyhammer

I've been watching the new Netflix show Lilyhammer and while I think it's interesting I don't think it's an amazing show. It's definitely a fish out of water type shows which does lead to some comedy but it's also a drama so the jokes often fall short. The basic plot is simple. Frank enters into the witness protection program and decides to go to Lilyhammer, Norway. Norway had the Olympics, and cute girls. He also thought it would be far enough away from the his old mob "buddies". While in Norway he learns that life does not move the same way as it does in NY so he applies good old fashion NY attitude to get things done.

I'm currently on I think episode six and so far it's entertaining enough to watch but this is not worth a purchase. oh and an important thing to know is if you have trouble reading or have a 4th grade reading level you may want to skip this show. There are a lot of subtitles because the natives are speaking in Norwegian most of the time.

I'm keeping the review short for now because I want to wait until I watch the entire season. They have introduced plot points that I'm not sure I'm enjoying so I want to see how they pan out before I make final judgement. I can see how one of the elements will be interesting and actually needed to happen. I was just surprised it happened so soon.

A Red Box Mistake

I was going through the RedBox this morning looking for something to watch tonight while I was playing WoW. So i come across this "new" horror movie called Killer By Nature. I figure well it's a buck so why not, how bad can it be. When the menu came up I saw Ron Peralmen was staring in it and I have never felt such disappointment in my movie selection in months. I guess that will teach me not click without reading more into the movie. The sad thing is I remember when I looked forward to a Ron Perlman movie but it seems after Hellboy he doesn't know how to say no.

It's already 5minutes in and the acting is really bad and I couldn't care less for the main character. He seems like an idiot and I can see why the killer is angry.

Need a New MMO

While I enjoy playing WoW I kind of feel the need to explore new worlds. It's not that I'm completely bored with WoW it's just I want to play a game with new concepts. I'm not sure why I have this driving need considering the stacks of video games that are begging to be played.

I saw this game that caught my attention called Tera. The graphics look great, the races look awesome and it's more of an action style combat system that I like. Then I hear about the Que to kill simple quest monsters and the desire to play is gone.

So then I go how about Guild Wars 2. It looks good, it's a free mmo after you buy the initial game and for the most part you don't hear a lot of people screaming they want to smash things because of bad game design for the first version.

Then there is Linage 4. I was put off by the grind of the first game but this one looks so much like Diablo but with better graphics.

The monster that isD3 is also coming out sometime this year. Regardless of what I pick it seems that they are all going to come out probably around the same time. Which on one had could work out since the weakest games will just die and I can play the one that lives. I'm already getting D3 free because of the annual pass so that will get played. I'm still looking for something outside the Blizzard universe just so i can experience a new look.

ugh and that reminds me, I'll need to upgrade my computer to be able to maximize the graphics for these games.

Heart of the Aspects Mount

so Blizzard released their new mount in the Blizzard store called Heart of the Aspects. It's an awesome looking mount for $25. After reading some of the posts I realize people don't really want a cool mount they want something to complain about.

If the mount was crap then people would complain that Blizzard is trying to farm for dollars with a crappy mount.

Since the mount looks good people are now complaining that it's not special since everyone has one.

Granted it is true that it does lose that oh look at me and my mount but quite frankly who cares if 1000 people have it next to you. Shouldn't the only thing that matter is I enjoy having it?

Stop trying to show off and enjoy the game.
